Step-by-step guide for a succesfull installation
Easily install your MS SmartPump yourself with this comprehensive roadmap. Following these instructions helps prevent common installation mistakes, allowing you to quickly and safely optimize the water quality for your animals.
Let's get started with installing the MS SmartPump
Follow these steps to assemble and install the system.1.
Preparation & basic installation
Ensure a power outlet is available within two meters and a water line within one meter of the installation site. Securely mount the mixing tank and the plastic back panel to the wall, ensuring they are level. Finally, attach the water meter to the 'Water IN' connection using the provided O-ring.2a.
Mounting the controller
Secure the controller onto the upper hooks of the back panel.2b.
Di-O-Clean pump installation
Slide the Di-O-Clean pump module into the vacant slots on the back panel from the top. Connect the suction and discharge hoses to the pump and the mixing tank. Plug the corresponding cables into the controller and route them neatly behind the panel.2c.
MS GoldFeed pump installation
Slide the MS GoldFeed pump module into the remaining slots on the back panel and firmly connect the suction and discharge hoses. Connect the cables to the controller, ensuring they are tucked behind the panel to prevent them from being pinched.2d.
Connecting pump cables
Plug the pump’s signal and power cables into the designated ports on the controller. Remember to also connect the low-level sensor and flow control. Organize all cables behind the unit so they are safely stored and out of the way.3.
Antenna setup
Mount the antenna in a high, unobstructed position, avoiding contact with - or proximity to - metal surfaces. Connect the cable to the controller temporarily to test for at least two bars of signal strength. Once a stable signal is confirmed, permanently mount the antenna and tidy the cabling.4.
pH probe calibration
Install the pH probe into the mixing tank as the final step and immediately open the water valves to ensure the probe remains wet. Power on the MS SmartPump and navigate to: Settings > Installer > pH probe. Calibrate the sensor using the provided pH 7 and pH 4 calibration fluids.5a.
Priming & calibrating the Di-O-Clean pump
Start by first placing the suction lance into a measuring jug filled with 1000 ml of clean water. Open the bleed valve, remove any air using the syringe, and start the 'Priming' program. Record the remaining fluid volume, enter the value on the screen, and then move the lance into the Di-O-Clean container.5b.
Priming & calibrating the MS GoldFeed pump
Now repeat that process for the MS GoldFeed Pump. place the suction lance into clean water. Open the bleed valve, remove any air using the syringe, and start the 'Priming' program. Record the remaining fluid volume, enter the value on the screen, and then move the lance into the MS GoldFeed container.6a.
Configuration: Di-O-Clean pump
Use the MS SmartPump interface or the HyCare app to configure the Di-O-Clean settings. Select the correct product and enter the container volume. You can now toggle the pump on or off via the menu to manage dosing.6b.

Use the MS SmartPump interface to configure the MS GoldFeed pump. Select the correct product and enter the container volume. Use the menu to easily start or stop dosing.6c.
Configuration: Animal groups
Access the MS SmartPump interface or the HyCare app to set up animal data. Select the appropriate animal group, enter the current head count, and save your settings.7.
Pairing the MS SmartPump to the HyCare app
Open the HyCare app on your smartphone and select "Add new pump" within the CleanWater module. Scan the QR code on the MS SmartPump and follow the in-app prompts to finalize the installation.Frequently asked questions
